Background:
The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network – Greater Milwaukee Chapter (YNPN) was founded in 2006 to create a network where next generation leaders could connect and support each other in order to strengthen their own leadership skills and, as a result, the nonprofit sector.

Challenge:
YNPN-Milwaukee needed assistance in creating strategies for their members in order to increase online branding for individualized nonprofit organizations while increasing conversion for events, ventures and businesses.

Each member brought with them their own nonprofit organizational needs as well as their personal online brands. The online brands were not in alignment with their organization needs and goals. The problem was that their message was hidden behind a lot of social media noise and their online voice/presence was not capturing the correct audience that would help their organization succeed. The message was unclear, unorganized and hidden.

Results:
Members were given a training session during their annual meeting to help them better understand social media in regards to online branding. The training session included the importance of goals, time and personality to build authority online and help increase generated revenue. Ultimately, members learned the most effective and efficient ways to use online marketing tools to promote their organization branding to potential clients and partners.
