1. Ask yourself – what is the purpose of this specific content?
Quality and unique content should answer a question using keyword terms that your reader will understand.
2. Know your keywords and use them.
You don’t have to repeat your keywords over and over again in order for the content to rank high in the search engines. For example, if you use the word “farmers”, this can be read by search engines as “farm”, “farms”, “farmer”, and “farmers”. This is called intelligent search.
3. Place keywords in higher-ranking fields and embellish.
When your content is shared through social media networks, all people (and search engines) see is the title and link of the shared content. This is where you must use quality keywords that make a reader not only want to click the link but also share it with their network. Also, keywords found in the content’s URL, Title and H1 areas have higher weight than keywords found in content.
Understand your target market, refine your keywords, use them correctly in your content and you will increase the likelihood of having higher search engine ranking.
